The image of women has been conditioned throughout history to occupy roles and spaces that do not reflect their true needs and desires. Despite the advances in the fight for gender equality, the media continues to play a crucial role in perpetuating stereotypes and norms that limit the representation and authentic perception of it. My work captures, through images, how this reality manifests itself in our daily lives and how, paradoxically, we contribute in contradictory ways to this phenomenon. I seek to challenge these stereotypes and open a space for a more genuine representation of women in contemporary society.
